After a lot of discussion with my husband, we decided to do the Ultimate Reset starting May 8th. I actually completed the Reset in February and lost 16 lbs in 21 days. Since you are able to do the program quarterly, I've decided to do it again to support him and as preparation for an upcoming trip that we have planned. Yesterday, I made a trip to Trader Joe's to start picking up some of things we will need. Luckily, I still have quite a few things left from when I did it in February. I don't have to buy any of the spices this round, and I only have to buy a few of the oils. The grade B maple syrup and the Bragg's Liquid Aminos have now become staples in our home, so, I already have both of those too. As I was shopping yesterday, I started getting excited all over again about starting May 8th. I have never felt better than while I was following the meal plan from the Reset. I slept better than I have ever slept and would wake up in the morning feeling refreshed and alert. I no longer woke up feeling completely drained and groggy. One of the mistakes I made when I completed the Reset was adding back in certain foods too quickly. This round I will take the time to gradually add foods back in to determine those that cause the food cravings, etc. My mindset towards food changed after my first round, and I am even more excited to stay closer to a vegan lifestyle after this round. Yes, I will still have some meats afterwards, but I will stay away from the processed foods and will limit the amount of meat in my nutrition plan. Every food item in the Reset is incorporated for specific reasons. One thing I purchased yesterday was the green lentils. Lentils have so many health benefits. They not only help lower cholesterol, but also are good for heart health, digestive health. They help stabilize blood sugar. They are a good source of protein and also help increase energy and aid in weight loss.
